Band Bio and Gear 

PAUL: Due to an unfortunate incident with a home made anti-gravity device, Paul hovers 2 or 3 inches above the floor and has to wear specially made weighted shoes to stop himself floating away.
As the oldest in the band, Paul will happily reminisce about how he used to sit by the Mississippi river playing the blues with the old masters, while dangling his tackle in the cool waters. Being tone deaf and totally unmusical, he has to ask a friend to tune his guitar.
His favourite band is Tenacious D, his favourite ice cream flavour is smoked cod roe.
Gear: Paul's main instrument is a Fender 50th Anniversary Deluxe Stratocaster. He uses a Fender Deluxe VM combo amp and Line 6, Boss and Digitech pedals. For some numbers he uses a bright blue Ovation Celebrity electro-acoustic.

DAVE: is the oldest in the band, being born in 1902. His unique sound and style is derived from an industrial accident where he was involved in a temporal anomaly, causing him to always play one beat ahead of the rest of the band.  His hobbies include stoat juggling, ladies mud wrestling and origami (of which he is a black belt). Dave is a keen runner and can often be seen running for a bus or after an ice cream van. His favourite ice cream flavour is plain.  During the 60’s Dave’s shapely legs were used to advertise several well known brands of ladies tights.
Gear: Dave plays a heavily customised Squire Strat and occasionally an Ibanez. His amp is a Fender Deluxe VM. His evening gown is in taffeta and he sews the sequins on himself.

JOHN: is of indeterminate age (although probably the oldest). He is a bass player extraordinaire ,although due to a childhood incident with a rooster he is unable to play the notes G and C#. This means that many songs have to be specially adapted before he can play them. His nickname is Deaks which, we assume, is just a shortening of his surname.

John's favourite ice cream flavour is ptarmigan. John's main musical influences are: Mantovani, Val Doonican and contemporary death metal/thrash.

Gear: Deaks play a Warwick Corvette bass into a Trace Elliot bass combo. His guitar strap is by Gucci

ED: is the newest member of the band. He is older than the combined ages of the other members. Ed loves hitting things with other things. However due to a childhood fall into a cellar, he has morbid fear that one day they might hit him back. This means he is constantly apologising to his drum kit whilst playing.
His hobbies include staring at walls, bursting bubble wrap and ant farming.  A little known fact about Ed is that he hollows out his drumsticks and fills them with gin, thus allowing him to have discreet snifter between bars.
Ed's favourite ice cream flavour is roadkill. His main musical influences are (tragically): Girls Aloud, Gareth Gates and Stockhausen

Gear: Ed’s sticks are made of wood. He plays a Yamaha Electronic drum kit. His shirt fell off the back of a lorry..

Other Gear: The band uses a Laney CP12 PA system with a Behringer mixer. Mics are by Shure. Our demo tracks are primarily recorded using Cubase 5 with IK Multimedia plug-ins. Mobile recording by Zoom H4 pocket recorder. Mastering is by T-RackS 3 Deluxe.
